I'm looking for the lyrics to this song. I've found some of the verses here, but the second and sixth verses are missing. http://www.celticlyricscorner.net/domhnaill/aradhul.htm

Here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whJeJO0KuVo

Could anyone write down these verses or point me to where I can them? Thanks!

The six Irish stanzas are available at

https://songsinirish.com/ar-a-ghabhail-go-baile-atha-cliath-domh-lyrics/

The page offers a machine-translated English version, but I don't think that will be much help to you. Sorry, but it's all I can come up with at the moment.

Oh, interesting, I think that's actually a different version of the words.

Does anyone have any ideas about the words for the version in the linked video?

I found this by accident, I have no idea of where it came from originally but it has much the same verses as the Ni Domhnaill version plus some more. Maybe some of them will fit.

Ag Gabháil go Baile Átha Cliath Damh

1. Ar a ghabháil go Baile Átha Cliath damh an chéad lá de 'n tseachtmhain,
Thárlaidh damh an spéir-bhean a thug spéis damh 'gus taitneamh;
d'fhiafraigh sí fríd ghlór chaoin damh - "cá gcómhnuidheann tú a mharcaigh?"
"I dTuaithfinn atá m'áit chómhnuidhe 's mo lóisdín le fada."

2. "An misde damhsa fiafraighe, ós tú is déidhionnaighe d'fhág an baile,
Goidé mar tá do chéile nó an féidir go maireann?"
"Tá sí tinn tréith-lag i bhfiabhras na leabtha,
Agus mise le trí ráithe ag na leághaibh do mo chreachadh."

3. "Char mhiste duit fhéin sin 'á dtéidheadh sí faoi thalamh,
Nó gheobhthá-sa ba caoirigh is mór-chríocha fearainn,
Airgead in do phócaibh, is ór buidhe le sgabadh,
Agus maighdean a' chúil ómra le bheith cóiriughadh do leabtha."

4. "Tóg uaim, a óig-bhean, 's ná hiarr a bheith mo mhealladh,
Tá muirighin lag óg agam 's ní cóir iad a sgabadh;
Níl airgead in mo phóca nó mór-chíos ar thalamh,
'S ní iarrfaidh mé céile eile arís in mo leabaidh."

5. "A mharcaigh dá mba liom thú is deas a nighfinn do léine,
'S ní le huisge dubh srotha nó rabhartaí shléibhe,
Acht le fíon na Frainnce 's le brandaí 'na dhiaidh sin,
Is bhéinn fhéin dá deisiughadh ar dheiseabhair na gréine."

6. "Dar bhrigh na dtrí leabhra mar labhraidh tú comh séimh liom,
Rachainn-se fhéin leat, a chompánaigh ghléigil,
Rachainn-se fhéin leat fríd chnuic agus sléibhtibh,
Sé mo chreach géar 's amhgar nó bhí clann agam fhéin leat."

7. "A mhaighre an chúil chraobhaigh, cé'n taobh díom a mbíonn tú?
Níl aithne agam fhéin ort nó ag aoinneach sa' tír seo."
"Mar tá dath na cré orm, dath na gréine 's nagaoithe,
'S gur tráthnóna Dia Domhnaigh a tógadh as a' bhruighin mé."

8. "Shiubhlainn oidhche agus lá leat, is ceithre cearna na hÉireann;
Rachainn-se 'na Spáinne le mo ghrádh geal dá bhféad-fainn;
Lucht gaoil agus páirte go bráth ó go dtréigfinn,
Dá dtabhairfeá póg amháin damh is a rádh gur leat fhéin mé."

9. "Bí teacht liom imbárach go hárd ins na bealaighibh,
Nó go dtéidh muid san áit sin nár ghnáthach linn 'bheith sgartha;
Agus má fhiafruigheann mo cháirde an dtearn mé malairt,
Sé déarfeas mé leobhtha gurab í 'n chéad ghrádh tá agam."
