Always sad to hear of the loss of an old friend. I used to book Colin and Shirley into the Ballads and Blues Club until they moved to Germany.
They were always a joy to work with.

Did they return to the U.K?

WoW, who didn't have Wilkie & Hart LPs amongst their early folk record collections??! And "Icy Acres" was a favourite song in my a cappella harmony singing world.

Thanks for your music.

Vale, Colin.

Sorry to hear this. My favourite Colin Wilkie song is "My Woman", here in a bilingual version with Hannes Wader:

It was the prospect of singing "Icy acres" that made forming the trio with Nick and Ed so appealing!

Much missed,

Robin

Sad news. My favourite too, those Icy Acres - but Down In Your Mine always comes a close second. RIP Colin.
