I'm sorry to hear that age has caught up to this wonderful singer/songwriter. I've been a big fan for most of my life. My introduction to folk music was when my big brother took me to a Pete and Arlo concert in the 70's. My favorite of the many dogs I've had in my life was a Russel mix I named Arlo in his honor.
It does sound like his health is now under control and I wish him a long and pleasant retirement.

Sebastian Inlet is my favorite fishing hole in Florida, Arlo picked a good spot to hang it up.

As a participant at Clearwater events and concerts around the area he has always been generous with his time and stories.
Clamzo, boys, clamzo.
I wish him a long retirement. He knows when it's time to hang it up.

gillymor, in the linked letter, he says he sold the Sebastian place and went back to Massachusetts.

Here's a paragraph from that letter that led me to believe Arlo will still be living in Sebastian:

"Meanwhile, I’d decided back in 2018 to move from the home in Florida. And just as I’d returned from our last gig in Tennessee, a buyer appeared, and we had a deal on the table to sell The CrabHouse. I wasn’t in any shape to go through the intricacies of selling a guitar pick, let alone a home with 30 years of stuff we’d collected. Marti ended up doing it all. She finalized the deal, and dealt with the stuff that either had to be sold, moved or thrown out. It was quite a lot. But, through garage sales, online markets, movers and friends, she’d pretty much emptied the CrabHouse of everything, and we moved into her place about a mile away."

I'm assuming that the "CrabHouse" is in Sebastian and that he just shifted to his girlfriend's house a mile away and then went back up North in June. I have a feeling he is of a migratory species that's very common here in Florida during the late fall and winter called the Snowbird. I could be wrong.

Geez, I never thought of Arlo as a Snowbird.   We shall have to keep an eye out for them in the air and roads at migration time!

It's easy to field ID snowbirds, they're often seen flocking in front of restaurants that offer early bird dinner specials, driving slow in the passing lane and in grocery stores blocking the aisles with their carts parked diagonally while catching up with their neighbors, bless their hearts.
