I just happened upon this fellow while (unsuccessfully) searching for a recent online festival performance by Martin Carthy and particularly enjoyed the quality of this random discovery. To me he sounds *very* much like Roger "Syd" Barrett (original singer/guitarist for Pink Floyd) performing a Child ballad!

I wondered if perhaps he is here among us? But also figured we could have a thread for other such random discoveries of "unknown" folk artists we happen upon and particularly like.

Oh wowness, this fellow only has one other video/performance (both are rather recent), and it's quite stunning...the words are written by his wife, it's called "Bird list" and is *very* folk, and quite protest oriented in a somewhat unique manner. Anyway, this is *very* worthwhile, and far more a discovery than the original find above:

Amazing... not only as a list, but for the sad commentary.

I'm not going to plug myself except to share this unsolicited Youtube comment about me from a stranger: "Much too talented to be so obscure." I may make that the title of my next CD.
