There are quite a few topical Trump songs offered up already, if anyone needs inspiration: 'Fall of Trump' songs.

There is a "Noble Duke of York" aspect to many of the GOP politicians who hated him, until they didn't, when he became president.

More like "The Vicar of Bray", Stilly. Watch those cockroaches scurry now that the light has been turned on.

Yes, also a good one.

And for inspiration based on Broadway Musicals, Randy Rainbow put out "Sedition" in a couple of days.

"do what you will but i am hoping for repair of this country and a toning down of inflammatory stuff."

I know I'm not in your country but I agree with your sentiment one hundred percent.

With tens of millions of morons still loving Trump and believing that the election was "stolen", Steve, I don't think that's likely.

Ok, here goes...

Tune = After the Ball was Over

After the votes were counted, after the deed had been done,
Many a heart had been broken, vic-try had still not been won.
“Hold on,” our bold leader urged us, “just bully those weak bureaucrats,
Never give in for an instance, keep wearing those gallant red hats.

Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, all can be turned if we press,
Law suits, and recounts, and lying, cheating, subversion and stress.
Keep up the pressure on Georgia, press on ‘til others fall flat,
All of the nation will know you, in your gallant red hat.”

After the mob has gone home, after the smoke fin-ly clears,
Gone is the strength of our people, gone are the brave volunteers.
Gone is the voice of our leader, purged from its old habitat,
All I have left of this glory, is my gallant red hat.

No reaction to Gallant Red-Hats...try again"

Donald’s Loyal Soldiers
Tune = Onward Christian Soldiers

Donald Trump was evil, Donald Trump was bad,
He’s the poorest president we have ever had.
Ivanka, D.J., Eric, Jared and the crew,
Followed Donald mindlessly, praised his point of view.

    Chorus:
Donald’s loyal soldiers, marching on the Hill,
Following their Master, bending to His will.

Donald ran Republican, with a cast of duds,
One by one they all dropped out, some became his buds,
Donald was victorious, triumphed o’er them all,
Then he vanquished Hillary, later in the fall.

Donald claimed his cab’net, would be both great and grand,
Said he knew the very best, the brightest in the land,
Maybe so but few signed on, and fewer stayed the course,
All but craven sycophants, left without remorse.

Donald had some secret plans, mainly bait-and-switch,
Quash Obama’s legacy, tax breaks for the rich.
Botch up immigration, heath care’s not for all,
Roll back regulations, don’t forget the wall.

Donald tried, some say he lied, to get dirt on his foes,
Quite in vain Ukrainian pressure points were chose.
Alas, the more he meddled, the worse it would become,
There you go, it’s quid pro quo, time to depose the bum.

Tragically magical, the process came unwound,
House impeached, Senate breached, consensus was not found.
A trial without witnesses, seems to be uncouth,
Party line was, by design, more powerful than truth.

Word came out from China, as the year unwound,
Donald Trump told Woodward, “It’s sure to shut us down.”
COVID-19 steadily, a-creeping to the west,
Trump denied it, could not hide it, though he tried his best.

They say the virus passes, by touch and in the air,
Donald tried to hide it, no need to cause a scare.
Trumpers told the people, “This will soon be gone,
Just another pesky flu, some fluke phenomenon.”

Four more years was still the goal, truth and death be damned,
Destroy the mail, ignore the wail, let all the votes be shammed.
As in a Shakespeare tragedy, the virus had him screwed.,
Four more years was not to be, Donald came unglued.

Donald stoked the fires, doubling down on his abuse,
Let the gates be opened, turn all red-hatters loose.
We’ll get Pence, Pelosi, and we’ll wield the wrecking bar,
Don’t forget “I’ll be with you”…watching from afar.

Now the deed has happened, thy will be said and done,
Hallowed halls are tainted, with vengeance overrun.
The future lies before us, issues to address,
Will we come together? It’s anybody’s guess.

I'm thinking that the phrase "Opening up the Gates of Hell" resonates.

My mother once had a song she was working on but never finished titled "The Four Horsemen." It still gives me chills.

Chanted Sermon by Rev. Rubin Lacy
Bakersfield, California - 1967

The Four Horsemen

They tell me in the morning,
When the horses come out the door,
They'll be standing there a-waiting,
To see the generals they been fighting for.

First come a rider on a red horse,
His armor shining in the sun,
A flaming sword in his hand,
His helmet a Gatling-gun –
The face of War.

Under his horse's hoofs,
The dead and dying,
Trampled in the sand,
Bodies torn by grenades,
Shattered by shrapnel,
Rot in no man’s land –
But with visions of victory in their eyes.

Refrain:

And I hear a voice a-crying,
“Is that the general we been fighting for?”
And I hear a voice answer,
“Yes, that's the general you been fighting for.”

Next come a rider on a black horse,
His body all covered with sores,
Reeking of gangrene,
From his nose and ears blood pours –
The face of Pestilence.

Under his horse's hoofs,
The sick and the dying,
People too weak to crawl,
Bodies wracked with pain,
Vomiting black blood,
For mercy they do call –
The madness of fever in their eyes.

Refrain:

Then, out come a rider on a white horse,
His body all covered with flies,
Thin and gaunt and haggard,
Rotting teeth and bloodshot eyes –
The face of Famine.

Under his horse's hoofs,
Children with swollen bellies,
Pipestem arms and legs;
Across the blackened fields,
Mothers with outstretched hands,
For bread and water beg –
The madness of starvation in their eyes.

Refrain:

At last, come a rider on a pale horse,
His body but a rack of bone,
Slashing a scythe left and right,
Eyes like balls of fire in a head of stone –
The face of Death.

And under his horse's hoofs,
Desolation and destruction,
On the face of the earth;
Gravestones and dry bones crackling,
Black ashes swept up in the wind,
None left to mourn or curse –
The madness of another great victory.

Refrain:

And I hear a voice a-crying,
“Is that the general we been fighting for?”
And I hear another voice answer,
“Yes, that's the general you been fighting for.”

"Oh, Lord, let me go!
I can't make war no more;
Oh, Lord, let me go home in peace!
I seen the generals we been fighting for."

Give this thread some more thought.

Hi,

Could someone put the initial message back in front of all this? All I see are reactions, but I have no idea what it's about, or who is challenging us.

Bye
Mysha
The original poster has been booted for making personal attacks. The content of his message, minus the personal attack, was "Isn't every day ya get a chance to compose a song about treason & insurrection." Not much there, other than "Hey, guys, write a song" which you might be able to figure out by what people have posted. -Mod

To be sung to "Three Blind Mice"
Lock Trump up
Lock Trump up.
Throw out the key.
Throw out the key.
The treasonous low life deserves to dwell
In a federal supermax cell,
until he dies and he goes to the bad place.
So lock Trump up.
