Googled him. Apparently, he's British. I can't find a clip of him on the show, but there's a nice version of Star of the County Down, with a resonator guitar on line.

I wasn't consumed with hatred for Carter Rubin. I just really, really didn't want to listen to any more of it.

I didn't see him on the programme but Joe Topping is a well respected folk musician in the UK and has appeared at the Topic Folk Club in the past as well as many other clubs and festivals. I imagine he is trying to make the best of the current circumstances where touring is not practical. Good luck to him!

I've seen two former contestants here who've done house concerts and smaller venues. I'm not entirely sure life isn't better for them when they don't win.

Joe Topping released some fine CDs, both solo and with Elbow Jane, on the Fellside label between 2009 and 2015.

Yes I looked for Joe Topping on playback ~ he was first on ~ he sang and accompanied himself on guitar

He is an accomplished singer songwriter in the UK and really of the folkie style performers
