Tonight for anyone interested but missed the advertising - the very talented Joe Topping is on The Voice.
Support him if you can.

Never heard of him. Carter Rubin won it.

I tried the Carter Rubin video, but only managed to listen to half of it - it was so nice when it stopped.

I wonder why the hate level is turned up to 10 today.

Googled him. Apparently, he's British. I can't find a clip of him on the show, but there's a nice version of Star of the County Down, with a resonator guitar on line.

That's one is much better.

I wasn't consumed with hatred for Carter Rubin. I just really, really didn't want to listen to any more of it.

I didn't see him on the programme but Joe Topping is a well respected folk musician in the UK and has appeared at the Topic Folk Club in the past as well as many other clubs and festivals. I imagine he is trying to make the best of the current circumstances where touring is not practical. Good luck to him!

Sally Barker made a name for herself on a similar stage - if you want it - why not!!

I've seen two former contestants here who've done house concerts and smaller venues. I'm not entirely sure life isn't better for them when they don't win.

Joe Topping released some fine CDs, both solo and with Elbow Jane, on the Fellside label between 2009 and 2015.

Yes I looked for Joe Topping on playback ~ he was first on ~ he sang and accompanied himself on guitar

He is an accomplished singer songwriter in the UK and really of the folkie style performers

"The Voice" reminds me of Gary Haliday on BBC tv in early 1960s!!
