Interesting Ray, however, copyright issues rear their ugly heads. I trust thye have been sorted.

Great book by the way, I bought mine many, many years ago.

Incidently many years ago we had Tuesday night session at The Pineberry in Queensbury, Keith lived not far away and called in occasionally and occasionally he'd sing a song, just occasionally.

I bought my copy of Picking Sooty Blackberries from a charity shop in Haworth around two years ago. Well worth £2.99!!

The book is available under "songbook" at Graham Pirt's Website, https://www.grahampirt.com/song-book.html. Since Graham is one of the authors of the book, I'm going to assume he has copyright issues sorted out. Graham has made the PDF of the book available for the very reasonable price of 5 GBP, payable through PayPal.
I think this is a great way to make out-of-print books available to the public at a reasonable price, and still make some money off the publication - but Graham's receipts from sales of this book go to Whitby Folk Week.

Thanks for that Joe. Just one point Graham (a superb performer by the way) is an editor of the book, not the author and certainly not the songwriter.

As an aside on his own website there is a fantastic concert of Cockersdale filmed in Whitby in 1991 featuring Keith Marsdens songs.

Yes the songs are Keith's and copyright is shown as Fellsongs Music Publishing

Just for the sake of accuracy the film of Cockersdale in the persons of Val Marsden, John O'Hagan & Graham Pirt is in fact from 2011 - the twentieth anniversary of Keith's death.
M C was Doc Rowe and I presume he is also responsible for the filming but am happy to be corrected on that.
So if Whitby Folk Week 2021 does take place, hopefully but probably unlikely, it will mark thirty years since Keith died.
An excellent film showing Keith's songs in all their glory.

Keith was a fine songwriter, who is sorely missed , his memory lives n through his songs

As Keith knew, some songs by him were believed to be Traditional. Well done.
