I sang "In the Pines". Aka "Little Girl", if you like (I don't, I like "In the Pines"), *not* "Black Girl".

Joan, the purpose of these posts is to give any readers wandering by some idea of what was done at these singarounds. For that reason, I try to use the titles by which people are most likely to recognize the songs (poems, monologues, instrumentals, ...). I think "Black Girl" is going to ring a bell for many more people than "Little Girl", so that's what I use.

Titles aside for the moment, and looking at lyrics, I know that you chose to sing "Little girl" and not "Black girl", and that you have good reasons for doing so, reasons to which I cannot object. I think Leadbelly recorded it both ways – here is a recording where he sang "Black girl": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28KEs9xq6X0

It occurs to me that the song also goes by the name, Where Did You Sleep Last Night?, so I'm going to edit that in as an aka.

Thank you, Gerry. I don't know how we keep having such a good time every week. I think a lot of the credit goes to David Kidman and you and Gayle and Arlene and the other hosts. We're almost at 4-1/2 years, and we're still having fun.
