We've had lots of discussion about how to license a song to record it ourselves, and I've done a lot of work on licensing songs for inclusion in the Rise Again Songbook, so I know those processes and I've done them many times.

But now another question has come up: what if I'm producing a compilation CD, and I want to include a recording by somebody-or-another. How do I get permission to use that recording? Do I go to an agency like the Harry Fox Agency, or what?

Shades of the Seeger recording being used in a commercial. I will be interested in what you're able to find out, Joe.
