Subject: Lyr Req: Paddy Doyle ?? From: Larkin Date: 01 Feb 21 - 06:51 AM I'm not sure of that this is the name of the song but one line I remember is - And there upon the gilded poop stood Mr Doyle in Gorgeous Rainment. My dear friend Chris Andreeti used sing this whilst drunk to much hilarity |

From: Dave Sutherland Date: 01 Feb 21 - 07:54 AM It is called "Johnny Doyle" and if you google that you should get at least one version credited to the singing of Frank Harte. I have also heard it performed by Donal Maguire and Tigerfolk regular Al Atkinson. Paddy Doyle is a shanty more commonly known as "Paddy Doyle's Boots" |
