It's almost time for BURP's tenth annual ukulele festival!

Strumalongs, workshops, open mics and concerts: it's a full festival without the raffle.

BURP - Berkhamsted Ukulele Random Players - have raised over £20,000 for Unicef over the first nine years of their annual festival.

2021 was to have been the tenth. Wait a minute! Did I say "was to have been" ...? I meant, of course, "will be".

And, although it's bad news for those who would have preferred to have been there in person, it's excellent news for those who find Berkhamsted (Herts, England) a tad inconvenient to reach on the last Saturday of February.

The programme is coming together nicely and you can have a look at what we've got planned on the official website: Ukes for Unicef dot com

So that's Saturday 27th February 2021 from 11.00 to 18.00 GMT

Thanks for the info, Hamish. I have it on my reminder program.

Good for you for helping children in need.

One more little nudge: the programme is pretty much complete and all the website is ready for you all!

I would like a concise timetable to be added to the website. At present I am only seeing the times of concerts and workshops separately given under the photos of each performer/tutor and would have to write out my own timetable.

Fantastic, Felipa: thank you ever so much!

There's a programme on the programme page which is here: http://hamishcurrie.me.uk/ukesforunicef/programme.htm

"See" you on the 27th!

Well, hell, I forgot the time difference and I missed it.

I am glad to see that so far it has raised 3,300 pounds.

Well done.

Yay! Well it was splendid. So you missed a good 'un. Now on £4290..

Still lots of exclusive videos available via the festival website.

We had about 100 Zoom sessions open all day, so often there were many more than 100 people in attendance.

Well chuffed

Well done, Hamish.

A different style Ukelele band camp will be on line 7-9 April, and probably the time zone will suit Leenia better, though there is no plan to help Unicef.

The Menucha Ukelele Band Camp 7-9 April 2021 online programme will work on a Pacific timezone as Menucha is in Oregon U.S.A. The organising team will "record the classes and make them available afterwards so you can revisit them. You'll be able to take ALL of the classes!" (there is a fee, of course)

Lots of detail at: https://menucha.org/programs/uke-band-camp
