Hey kids,

I just discovered a cool feature in ABC2WIN: When you draw a tune, you can then go up to the Copy/Paste menu. Choose Copy page bitmap to clipboard. You can then paste the music into your favourite wordprocessing or spreadsheet program. This gives you the freedom to type the lyrics, notes, whatever, in any format you like, instead of using the limited methods that are available with the ABC2WIN software.

I found that there was a lot of blank space left below the music, if it was a short song. So what I did was first pasted it into MSPaint. Then I selected the music and the smallest area around it, and copied. When I pasted that into Word, the picture was only as big as the music itself, leaving loads of space for lyrics and notes.

Is that about as clear as mud? The result is pretty cool.

Paul.

ABC2WIN? Haven't come across that. No doubt everyone else has, but I'd be grateful to be enlightened, since I'm thinking of gertting around to making another songbook, and putting in the tunes this time.
