I don't know how they read compared to Splott Man's rendition, but that's some lyrics to start off with.

BTW, Seamus Kennedy does the song, too.

PS A marley is a marble.

Sorry, Joe. I screwed up. Please delete this and the previous post. My mistake.

Here's the version I sing with Dame Pattie Smith EPNS. Plus translation

Yr wyf i little collier, yn gweithio underground,
The rope will never torri, when I go lan y lawr.
Bara menyn when I'm hungry, cwrw when I'm dry,
Gwely when I’m tired, and Nefoedd when I die.

I'd like to cwrdd the manager, and siarad to him strong,
This bywyd underground might mean, I do not byw for long.
Gwrando Mister Mining Boss, us bechgyn gweithio hard
Talu decent wages or your calon will grow hard.

So wella our conditions, and trin my family fair,
Or dwi'n mynd i Pennsylvania, am fywyd gwell lies there.
To all bosses mawr y byd, you know chi fod yn true.
Talu living wages or no Nefoedd waits for you!

Repeat first verse

The first verse is traditional, the 2nd and 3rd verses were written by Stacy Blythe of Cardiff, with a tweak from myself.

Translation:
I am a little collier, working underground,
The rope will never tori, when I go up and down.
Bread and butter when I'm hungry, beer when I'm dry,
Bed when I’m tired, and Heaven when I die.

I'd like to meet the manager, and speak to him strong,
This work underground might mean, I do not live for long.
Listen Mister Mining Boss, us lads work hard
Pay decent wages or your heart will grow hard.

So improve our conditions, and treat my family fair,
Or I'm going to Pennsylvania, a better life lies there.
To all bosses big in the world, you know this is true.
Pay living wages or no Heaven waits for you!

Repeat first verse

Brilliant! And it was so much fun to hear you sing it yesterday.

Addendum. Torri = break.
