Last May was the sunniest on record due no doubt to climate change. As an allotment owner I had to go and water the young seedlings I planted on a regular basis. Now we have a wet May, which is good for allotment owners and bad for everyone else, apart from farmers etc. May is such a contrast to a bleak mid-winter, made bleaker by covoid this time round. The light, the warmth, the growth in nature, the hatchlings. May is almost gone now. What will June bring ? More flowers, more light, more heat, an equinox no doubt. |
