A few days ago I heard the slow rag "Creeks of Missouri" for the first time. It makes me want to get on the road and see forests and rivers so bad I can taste it.

You're welcome. I'm glad you like it. For me that sweet little dissonance is the sound of taking a ride in the country.

The woman playing is Mimi Blais (pronounced Blay) from Montreal, one of the world's best players of ragtime. She also plays other styles.

I had meant to ask, this piece is a bit slower than typical ragtime. Is it more of a strut/cakewalk or is it still ragtime?

I believe I've read in the past that Joplin had complaints about most people playing or wanting to play ragtime too fast (probably even more so these days) but I'm not sure where the classifications go
