Subject: Steamboat Songs From: GUEST,Philip Vale Date: 11 May 21 - 08:08 PM Hi, I have been searching for a recording from my childhood in the early 1980s. Folk duet. Partial discography:
2. Mermaid Song (Bobby Bare) 3. Inch-by-inch 4. All God’s Critters 5. Liza (robin and linda williams) 6. Get Up and Go (Pete Seeger) 7. Streets of London Definitely recorded in the early 1980s as Get up and Go had the line "first carter now reagan, I'll surely be next". My mother said that it could have been recorded off the radio from Oscar Brand's Folk Song Festival from WNYC in NY. Any leads appreciated. |

We have most of these songs posted at Mudcat, and I;ve changed the songs on your list to clickable links. Put a word or two from the title in our Filter box on the main page, set the age back to "all," and submit. Mudcat's Charlie Ipcar has a very nice collection of "Steamboat and Roustabout songs: https://www.charlieipcar.com/Steamboat%20&%20Roustabout%20Songs-2019.pdf. -Joe- |
