Max and Bert

I listened in to the rest of the show this AM at work; great show. I loved hearing Bill and Lorna Sables. The show just keep getting better!

Bill, LEJ, Alison and Alan, Max, Bert et al - I loved hearing all the Mudcatter music - and now I can honestly say I know the origin of sh*t's creek! Thank goodness! ;-)

G'day,
I suppose this is relevant to some of the conversation during this episode. Toyota has been running some ads here, in the first there are a series of mishaps with the victim responding with "Bugger!" Even the cattle dog takes a leap for the back of a ute (Aussie pickup), misses & lands in the mud. "Bugger!" he says. In the current ad Toyota are having "A Big Bugger of a sale".

In a totally unrelated McDonalds ad a bloke driving a ute finds his lunch box empty. He says "Bugger!" The cattle dog in the back isn't too impressed either. Then the driver sees a McDonalds, drives in & the dog says "Burger". The bloke drives off & eats the big mac himself. "Bugger!" says the dog.

In spite of its origins the word seems to be fairly acceptable these days, although the McDonalds ad seems to be cut before kiddie bedtime.

Cheers,
Alan

Bert,

If you're still lookig in on this thread, please go read the 'Prof's Pages...special message' thread. Mudcatter Mick Lowe has had his computer and 2 year's worth of collecting song lyrics stolen from his home. Could you please put out a call to all 'Catters to help him reassemble his collection? There's a link in the thread to email him. Let's help out a wonderful guy in his time of need!!!!

I finally have the sense to tune in early with time difference to catch the "LIVE" version. You Cat's are looking and sounding pretty good. I can hear much better live than with all the buffering stuff.I tuned in about 5:25 pm west coast time. Keep the songs a coming.

Hey MAx & co. Listening to this slow blues thing, it appears you guys are sort of doing a "cool white guys sitting down dance groove" thing. Quite hilarious to watch--the video refresh rate is peculiarly in sync with the track's rhythm...rock on bros!

The Mudcat ICQ # is 55532561, and the backup (Bert) is 60620455.

MMario, I turned on the audio and video when Bill and Lorna showed up, and we gabbed a while and chatted. You didn't miss anything.
