Subject: Warwick Festival postponed to 2022 From: Mr Red Date: 17 Jun 21 - 05:44 PM Heard tonight. Check on their website if you have booked, tickets transferable to 2022 - Jul 21-24. Lifting of restrictions was too close to call for them to proceed. We have been waiting for government guidance to be published on how is best to proceed. This has become more important after many in the scientific community have expressed serious concerns over the new COVID-19 Delta variant and the next step of the roadmap proceedings. I had not planned to go anyway, but it is sad news. Sidmouth will be open air concerts. Maybe dancing in the Anchor Gardens. Don't hold ye breath. I've said many times, we are on a war footing. And the enemy is invisible! |

Subject: RE: Warwick Festival postponed to 2022 From: Tattie Bogle Date: 18 Jun 21 - 07:29 PM Not one that I have ever been to, but no doubt disappointing for those who have been regularly. Not many UK festivals that I know of that are going ahead. Afraid the scaled-down Sidmouth Festival will not get our custom this year, as we live over 400 miles away, and although both double vaccinated, are still not keen to go anywhere there may be large crowds, what with yon Delta variant apparently romping ahead. |

Subject: RE: Warwick Festival postponed to 2022 From: Mr Red Date: 20 Jun 21 - 02:15 AM Sidders is on an estuary (of sorts) not on a delta. I somehow doubt the crowds will be that large, but large enough to be wary. Bromyard is still going ahead. Towersey have a limit on numbers and sold out. There is a reserve list, should the rules allow greater numbers. I'm afraid we have to make it up as we go along. Why not - Mr Strawhead does. |
