Yeah, like it sez. It continues, "The mountains are my home; So many people in the city; Sometimes you feel just like you're all alone"

I have the words in my self-typed songbook from 30-40 years ago, and I remember the melody, but never wrote down the attribution.

Hi, Dennis -
I'm not finding it. Can you post the entire song for the record, even if we don't find the source?

I used to live in the city
The mountains are my home
So many people in a city
Sometimes you feel just like you're all alone
All alone

I wish that I was in Denver
Standin' on the top of a hill
Can't hardly wait till I get there
Sometimes I wonder if I ever will
Ever will

Build me a home in canyon
Stand and watch the river rollin' by
I'll sit all day and watch the sunlight
Sometimes I'm gonna see it in your eyes
In your eyes

It's rather like a Patrick Sky song, eh?
Possible that I acquired this before I left California in 1974, and that it was from some regional person. But I don't necessarily think so. Can't seem to Google it.
I can sing it for the record, if I can post an audio or video track.
