I am trying to nail down a Schooner Fare CD. It is "Schooner Fare: Alive" Their website, Outer Green Music doesn't list it for sale. Does anyone have a copy that they would part with?

Thanks,
Saul

It seems there is a cassette available for $5 on ebay. But it's not a CD. I'm pretty sure the whole album is available to hear on YouTube.

Here's the ebay link

Schooner Fare is a Maine-based folk band, consisting of Steve Romanoff (vocals, six and twelve-string guitar, five-string banjo), Chuck Romanoff (vocals, twelve-string guitar, tenor banjo), and formerly Tom Rowe (vocals, bass guitar, tin whistle).

I just listened to their The Mary Ellen Carter on YouTube and it's just awful. Better stay with Stah Rogers' original recoding.

Reinhard, it needs a tuba to bring it together ;-)

Thanks for the help.

I did see it on discogs. They want $70 for the CD??!! Is it that hot? For that much, I could get a vinyl copy and burn it to a CD and have enough left over to go out to dinner! Maybe the cassette. Hard to know how worn it is.

But thanks.

Oh, and their MEC...sucks? Well, each to their own. I like Stan's version. And I like theirs. And mine own, too.

Saul
