This music artist is a living link to a century that has passed.
It's heartening that he is still alive, and still performing.

The Houston Chronicle says that
Roy Book Binder will perform in Houston on
Oct. 28 at 7 pm, at
McGonigel's Mucky Duck.

And he is headed for a performance at the Jazz Museum
in New Orleans on November 4.

He won't be north of the Mason-Dixon line,
in terms of public performances,
before next May.
Shrewd fellow.

Good to see that he's still around and presumably still singing the praises of Rev. Gary Davis, who he acted as a lead boy for so long ago. I loved his Traveling Man LP so much that I learned most of it by ear. His playing was just complicated enough to make it interesting but not so complicated that a noob like me couldn't copy it.
