Subject: Contessa acoustic guitar info

I bought a Contessa Dove and regretted it when I got it home. I drove 90miles to look at a "father's collection" being sold by his son. I wanted a red label Yamaha, an Eko Ranger or a Harmony Soverign but they were all badly damaged. Chap talked me into buying something as I had travelled so far. Que the Contessa. He thought Framus and I thought I recognised the Dove pic-guard and saddle. Gave him too much for it. Worst finished guitar I had ever seen. Fitted tuners, nut, bridge, pins and strings. Lowered the saddle and filled the large gaps around the neck inlays. Tuned it up and wow! It sounded great. However, it looks like it's the only one in captivity. I can find no traces of it anywhere in the universe. It's not Framus because they say Framus on them! Not Hohner or any other brand for the same reason. The label says "Finest Guitar" which says China to me. It seems to be a Gibson Dove copy. There's a few about but I'd love to know where mine came from and when. Any help much appreciated.
