Internet been playing up so i turned to an old laptop which i had never used on the net it was mostly used for my writing.

Today however i discovered hidden treasure at some point after our car changed to memory stick instead of cd player i must have transfered some of my cds onto sticks for the over 300 mile trip home.

Clumsy finger hit media player instead of new doc and there amongst Puccini , Tchkovsky and Parry was a cd my neice bought from someone busking in St Albans many fine tunes and an easy on the ear voice. I dont know if John Breeze still frequents the cat but today he has brought great pleasure.

He’s a grand lad is Breezy! He runs a Zoom folk-club every week, ‘Folk With Breezy’. I have the link he sent me, but not sure if I’m allowed to share it, maybe try PM-ing him?

Good old John contributed greatly to the St Albans folk scene in the 90's and noughties

A marmite character who ran folk clubs/singers nights and guest nights

And encouraged many a performer

Plus raised thousands for heart research in French Row and beyond

Now living in his beloved Cornwall and perhaps to be found busking on Padstow harbour

Watch out for the naked knees though

He put me on as a feature artist quite a few years ago at his Sunday night club in St. Albans (at a club - some kind of Services Club?). A lovely night - George Papavgeris, Chris Flegg (great jazz guitarist), Christine Connolley did great floor spots. A great evening with a very friendly crowd.
