Looking for lyrics to the rest of this song:

I had an old dog and his name was Jed I kept him behind the old wood shed He was the best dog I ever found I thought he would make me a pretty good hound

Oh, every time I go to town The boys keep kickin' my dog around Makes no difference if he is a hound They gotta' quit kickin' my dog around

Subject: Lyr Add: THE HOUND DAWG SONG (from Vance Randolph)
From: Barry Finn
Date: 31 May 97 - 01:51 AM

"The Hound Dawg Song" from Vance Randolph's Ozark Folk Songs

 F Dm F C7 F
Every time I come to town the boys keep kicking my dawg around
Dm F C7 F
Makes no difference if he is a hound they gotta quit kickin my dawg around
Me an Lem Briggs an ol Bill Brown took a load of corn to town
My ol Jim dawg ornery ol cuss he just naturally followed us

As we drive past Johnston's store a passel of yaps come out the door
Jim he scooted behind a box with all them fellars a-throwing rocks

They tied a can to ol Jim's tail an run him past the county jail
That just naturally made us sore Lem he cussed & Bill he swore

Me an Lem Briggs an ol Bill Brown lost no time a-getting down
We wiped them fellers on the ground for kicking my ol dawg Jim around

Jim seen his duty there & then he lit into them gentlemen
He shore mussed up the court-house square with rags an meat an hide an hair

Repeat 1st verse
Champ Clark (?) from Arkansas used this as his campaign song.

WELL I HAD AN OLD DOG AND HIS NAME WAS JED. I KEPT HIM OUT BEHIND THE OLD WOOD SHED. FIGURED HE'D MAKE A REAL GOOD HOUND, AS SOON AS HE LEARNED HIS WAY AROUND. PA SAID SON WHAT HAVE YOU GOT, HE'S BLUE-TICK BLOOD AND LORD KNOWS WHAT. PRETTY SOON THE WORD GOT SPREAD AROUND; BILLY-JOS FOUND A LORD KNOWS HOUND.
EVERY TIME I GO TO TOWN THE BOYS KEEP KICKIN MY DOG AROUND. MAKES NO DIFFRENCE IF HE IS A HOUND, THEY GOTTA QUIT KICKIN MY DOG AROUND.
WELL WE TOOK JED TO RUN-A-RACOON BUT HE LED US STRAIGHT TO THE TOWN SALOON. AND WHILE THE SHERRIF SAT THERE IN TREMBLIN FEAR, JED CHEWED HIS CIGAR AND DRANK HIS BEER.
EVERY TIME I GO TO TOWN THE BOYS KEEP KICKIN MY DOG AROUND. MAKES NO DIFFRENCE IF HE IS A HOUND, THEY GOTTA QUIT KICKIN MY DOG AROUND.
WELL JED, I SAID YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND AND WE'LL STICK TOGETHER TIL THE END, WHEN UNDER THE CHAIR WHERE MA HAD SAT WE SPOTTED THE TRACKS OF A MOUNTAIN CAT. JED TOOK OFF, THAT DOG WAS SCARED, BUT WE FOLLOWED THAT CAT FROM HERE TO THERE. AND ALL THE BOYS SHOWED UP FROM TOWN TO HEAR THAT CAT AND THAT CRAZY HOUND. WELL JED HE HAD THAT CRITTER TREED, AND THE BOYS ALL LOOKED AND SMILED AT ME, CAUSE WAY UP HIGH ON A LIMB THERE SAT , MY MOTHERS PRESIOUS CALICO CAT….
EVERY TIME I GO TO TOWN THE BOYS KEEP KICKIN MY DOG AROUND. MAKES NO DIFFRENCE IF HE IS A HOUND, THEY GOTTA QUIT KICKIN MY DOG AROUND.
