Eric was the founder member of Wath Upon Dearne Morris Men and an accomplished singer musician and dance caller

He died just a couple of days ago before the annual Wath festival after a heart attack

Eric was a great guy and loved to entertain and see others enjoying themselves ~ he and others like Tim Binns asked Ivor Allsop to teach them Morris ~ Ivor had established Barnsley Longsword year of so earlier

Eric had many friends and acquaintances through dance and concerts and was a band member of Peppercorn and Off the Cuff in Wath "in the day"

A total stalwart of "folk" and highly regarded in the UK folk world and put Wath on the folk map

It's the saddest news, but thank you for posting, Ray. Eric was such a lovely man and will be greatly missed.
