Don't ask me where I get these ideas. Some time back I wondered just how many songs have been written where time is rhymed with dime. It sure seems like there are so many pop songs like that. Then I got the idea that there could be a search engine that could tell me. So I put in a google search "songs that rhyme time with dime". What came up was this search engine called Rhyme Zone. It already narrowed the search to "Find lyrics and poems" that followed "Word or concept: Dime". Below was "Filter by Rhyme" and a click reveals a column of words with Time at the top followed by crime, rhyme, overtime... Time is by far the most popular at a count of 753. Then there is a list of songs along with the artist and the rhyming phrase. A considerable list. I'm not sure what one is really supposed to do with this but I had a fairly thorough answer to my pondering whish is hilarious to think there are so many songs. And I don't really know who would care about such a thing. But I know there are bound to be some on Mudcat that do so here you go. The link is below.
