I have been given some Vatican earphones by a work buddy which were provided for the Vatican Tour. I shall wire these to electret mic capsules I bought - 10 for £2.20!!! These are great for recording gigs!!

You mean like for recording gigs where it says "no recording of these gigs allowed"? Or for some other reason?

It doesn't annoy me bonzo. I was just interested in why you wanted to surreptitiously record gigs. FYI most concerts do not allow recordings as it breaches the artists intellectual property rights.

Vatican earphones? Same as the throwaway earphones they give you on airplanes....but they've been blessed. Do you think the blessing will work on Bonzo?

They are handed out to vatican visitors with the tour guide translation box. Some very intricate soldering will be required to wire these up!!!

Intricate soldering doesn't sound my thing. Very occasionally, I do have a play with an Arduino based project and solder some bits on stripboard/veroboard and header pins onto the cheap Arduino nano clones but, even under a magnifying light, I find it a struggle.
