Subject: Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival 2022 (hybrid) From: crism Date: 13 Sep 22 - 05:00 PM Hello ’Catters! We are very pleased to announce that the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival will be back on the streets of Portsmouth, N.H., in just a couple of weeks (24 and 25 September). See our Web site for all the details. A few changes from the Before Times: almost all events are outdoors; the rain plan is tents and umbrellas, so plan accordingly. The concert will be indoors, but advance (free) tickets are required so we can limit attendance. There will also be online content. We will be streaming part of the in-person festival on our YouTube channel, and there is online exclusive content on Sunday as well. If you can’t join us in person, we hope you’ll be able to join us online. |
Subject: RE: Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival 2022 From: crism Date: 13 Sep 22 - 05:02 PM I tried to post this just before the cat fell over… the advance tickets are sold out. Catch the concert online, or better yet, volunteer! Volunteers are guaranteed seats for the concert, and we could still use a few more hands. |
Subject: RE: Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival 2022 From: Joe Offer Date: 18 Sep 22 - 11:56 PM Here's the message from Linn Phipps about the First Virtual Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival, also happening on 25 Sept 2022:
This is a reminder in case you need one (!) that, in just over a week, the very first Virtual Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival is happening, live and participative, on Sunday 25 September 2022. It will comprise five hours of choices of concerts, song circles and workshops, running free on zoom starting noon ET (5pm UK/ Ireland, 9am PT etc). Very excitingly and innovatively, this will be running as an integral part of the live in-person PMFF (itself partially live-streamed), and in parallel with it, on the Sunday. This enables all our friends around the rest of the US and the rest of the world to participate virtually in PMFF, where it just isn’t possible to actually travel there in person.
