So far they announced they will not make public the grand jury evidence.
That is typical. I bet the usual Friday release of info will be forthcoming. Friday is a prime day to disseminate announcements.

Even before Covid, Republicans typically ran up the debt to historic levels to make Democrats have to address and fix it later to the unpopular dismay of voters.
Holding the country hostage has worked before but now it is a bridge too far. The people are slow to wise up but we are getting wise to the anti-democratic attack on Middle-class America.

That money has always been behind anti-Democratic principles and candidates. I think they're big with the Federalist Society funding as well (think Supreme Court justices) - and they helped the Tea Party get off the ground.

A judge in Georgia will release this week three parts of the grand jury report written after the investigation into Trump and his tampering with the Georgia election. It doesn't name names, leaving that to the Fulton County District Attorney when she's ready to press charges.

As Trump said overseas; "Putin is a genius" I don't see why Putin would lie" "I believe Putin over our own intelligence" etc. one claim is true IMO.
Putin was a genius in getting Trump to be his own Kremlin candidate along with Manafort who was Trump's campaign advisor after being the campaign advisor for Putin's Ukraine puppet President who was eventually overthrown by Ukraine and then elected Velodemir Zelenski instead.

The latest FAUX amongst the hens is the gift of access to the security camera footage to FOX "news." Content from there was kept back by the January 6 committee for security reasons, court reasons, etc. But apparently the new very handicapped (by 15 votes and a shitload of promises to the corrupt far right) Speaker gave access to only Fox. Someone needs to step in and stop it on legal grounds.

Dad was born in Boston to Jewish parents who spoke Yiddish and escaped the Nazis just before the Einsatzgruppen invaded Poland and Russia. Dorchester was a neighborhood in transition between the Irish and the Jews. Lottsa fights. He joined the Army and was given the option to work as a legal clerk for the court martial division in England or join the front line because of religion and the Nazis. He witnessed the Blitz.
After the war the GI bill enabled a choice to study journalism or poli sci. An opening in Syracuse for poli sci opened up over Chicago journalism. He sought a law degree as well in Denver but a family and teaching was a bridge too far. He got tenure in New York when I was old enough to glean some of his knowledge and ethics. He kept his head down during the McCarthy era while colleagues wrote books about the Military Industrial Complex. In his day he was in Who's Who but retired with a following of lawyers who studied Constitutional law with him in their youth. His books involved the Supreme Court in human terms and not a scientific analysis. That was considered old school. His standards were strict, however. We ate bacon and he was as reformed as one can get so teaching me religion in Hebrew school was forbidden. As a result I rarely saw the survivors in his side of the family. My dyslexia was not understood so my difficulty in school was attributed to laziness. I have educated my self and now have an affinity to Russel Brand.

On the Trump front, his former attorney Cohen will probably testify to the grand jury soon.

Michael Cohen, former President Trump’s former personal lawyer, believes he will be called to testify to the New York grand jury investigating the former president “very soon.”

Cohen told reporters his prediction on the way to meeting with the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which is investigating alleged hush money payments Cohen arranged on behalf of the former president to two women who said they had sex with Trump.

He has met with investigators more than a dozen times throughout the course of the Manhattan investigation.

Cohen arranged large sums for adult film star Stormy Daniels and playboy model Karen McDougal before the 2016 election. Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 and McDougal was paid $150,000 by American Media, the then-parent company of The National Enquirer tabloid.

Trump has denied that he had sexual relations with either of the women. Cohen pled guilty to a bevy of charges related to the payoffs and other conduct last year. He was sentenced to three years in prison but served little of it due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Out of interest, 'pled' didn't look right to me but I had deen it before so I looked it up and found the following bit of trivia -

"The formal pleaded is more common in British English while pled is more common in Scottish and American English."

We deserve Trump. It is all ultimately a CIA blowback from a project to elect a US-friendly Russain.
What most people do not know is that 3 Americans were responsible for spearheading Boris Yeltsin's bid to rule. Putin naturally wanted to do the same to America and set people to manage the Trump campaign using the same people he used for a Russian puppet in Ukraine.

Michael Cohen to appear before NY Grand Jury (again!) I heard a conversation on MSNBC last week about his many appearances with the prosecutor (18 times). He has testified in other places also, but in this particular case Cohen was found guilty of making the payment and served his time. He's now free to topple Trump.
