Subject: Maypole tune on 'Call the Midwife' From: Dave the Gnome Date: 08 Jan 23 - 04:13 PM Anyone else see it on BBC1 tonight? Bits of the tune play a couple of times but there is quite a long bit near the end with kids dancing round a Maypole. Played off a record and sounds like a single melodeon Just wondering what it may be |

Subject: RE: Maypole tune on 'Call the Midwife' From: GUEST Date: 09 Jan 23 - 08:46 AM I don't recognise it. The BBC subtitles unhelpfully called it: "Jaunty Music". |

Subject: RE: Maypole tune on 'Call the Midwife' From: Nigel Parsons Date: 09 Jan 23 - 10:59 AM Knowing that the BBC try to keep the music topical (to the show). Any similarity to 'Terry Dactyl and the Dinosaurs' Seaside Shuffle (written Jona Lewie) must be accidental. But that is what I hear. |
