Subject: Song writing competition From: GUEST,The Sandman Date: 14 Jan 23 - 06:34 AM 2023 Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival takes place in Ballydehob from June 16th to 18th this year with a huge range of performers already confirmed to take part. Among those appearing this year will be Steve Turner, Matt Cranitch and Jackie Daly, , Jim Mageean, Pat Sheridan, Dick Miles, Rosie Stewart, Andrew Mackay and Carole Etherton, Andy Kenna,, Merfolk Keith Kendrick Sylvia Needham The Cork Singers’ Club and many many more. A highlight of the festival is the Maritime song competition which is sponsored by IMRO, with cash prizes totalling 250 euros. Entrants must perform their song live in Ballydehob on Sun June 18th 2023. Songwriters may enter the competition by emailing lyrics of their song entry to dickmiles77@gmail.com. Closing date by email is midnight on the 10th of June, closing date by conventional post is 5th June. All entries must be posted to Richard Miles, Cooragurteen, Ballydehob, County Cork, Ireland, Songwriters must be available to perform their song live at the festival, and all must have legible copies of songs for the competition given to the judges at the commencement of the competition. |
