Anyone have lyrics. This was sung by Benny Bell, a comic music hall singer, and appears on a compilation of his songs but I cannot make out the lyrics with my old tired ears.

It's a version of a song about Lydia Pinkham

Here's a short version.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnAxihZzEiM>/a>

Lots to read online.

I have a vague memory of "Pink Pills for Pale People" and it wasn't the same song as "Lily the Pink"/"Lydia Pinkham".

I remember in the 60s that the Scaffold had a hit record with “Lily the Pink”.
I seem to also remember that they said then that it was based on a true story.
Obviously, Lydia Pinkham was that person.
Great to find the links to her interesting life.
