The version in the DT is more accurate that the one above. Words by P. J. McCall, author of quite a few patriotic things, later 19th c. I think; tune he used is traditional, early 19th century maybe, called "Eochaill" in Irish, Anglicised as "Youghal". There are several translations of the words.

I didn't see the show but Boulavogue is also known as Father Murphy. That's in DT. And I have a midi of it here (http://www.contemplator.com/folk4/boulavog.html). Is that the one? Can't help with chords though - sorry.

This is not the "Father Murphy" that is on the trad. It is a song sung by the Irish Tenors and it is tremendously stirring. Does anybody know it?
