Subject: Lyr Req: Early Raymond Froggatt - Louise From: GUEST,Paul Cullen Date: 07 Sep 23 - 02:27 PM Am trying to find lyrics of early Raymond Froggatt songs i.e. from his 1968 album. eg Going Away, I.m Sure, Louise, Have you seen the children etc. Quite happy to purchase song books if available. Looks like Froggatt had a song book (link) but I'm not finding any for sale at the moment. Obviously it is long out of print. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Early Raymond Froggatt - Louise From: Acorn4 Date: 12 Sep 23 - 05:27 AM Don't have a copy of the lyrics but you may be able to transcribe from this:- Louise - Raymond Froggatt I'm actually quite an admirer of his songwriting, although some of his songs wander into the area of the over sentimenntal at times he has written some real gems. He found a natural home in the English country music acene where he accumulated quite a following, although he never cracked the US and suffered the usual fate of being ripped off by the type of parasite agents who infest the music scene. I like some of his later songs like "I Ride a Horse", "Run Free", "Always Make Me Blue" - he had a very good backing band which stayed loyal to him, and I was saddened to hear of his passing a few weeks back. |
