It may remain so unless an equal or greater perception changes their mindset. That is not likely in their lifetime unless an extreme distaste or trauma dissuades their thought habits.

It took 20 years for the high culture of Germany to descend into horrific barbarism. With improved messaging and strategy, it could take less time for America to fall into an abyss.

Why did science arise?
Because our five or six senses are so poor and limited.

Beyond red we do not see microwaves or radio waves yet they are just another form of light. Beyond blue we do not see X-ray or gamma-ray light. In our universe, we can not see the majority of matter so we call it dark matter. We do not see the push and pull of dark energy that is currently increasing, accelerating the expansion of the universe.

We may believe consciousness only exists in our visible world.
How arrogant is that? It seems to me there are probably many influential interfaces we have with the unseen that can be harmful or beneficial.

Paranormal religious experiences were the earliest awareness of a larger universe. It looks like there was a global religious notion of gods and overlords. Non-ordinary experiences will continue whether you are religious, scientific, both, or neither. Don't be so surprised, it just the larger universe expressing itself. Carl Jung was on the mark when he expressed the concept of synchronicity.

I limit my spirits to Scotch these days; I'm allergic to the sulfites in wine and am avoiding the wheat in beer. Scotch is good if you have only one choice. MOM is fairly catholic in her choice of alcohol; whatever is most affordable.

Sir Issac Newton is considered the brightest bulb in England.
Even though he wrote more about Alchemy and biblical timelines than modern science discoveries his thinking was brilliantly simple.
We always thought colored light came from inside a material but Newton simply place a prism in an opposite position to another prism and proved white light contained all the colors and turned back into white light when reunited.
Regarding the apple and Newtons theory of gravity it really had to do with his question of if the apple falls why does the moon not fall.
His thought experiment revealed that it was only a matter of horizontal velocity that kept the moon falling in an orbit.
Speaking of the moon, it used to be 20 times closer to Earth.
The tides it made at that close distance obeys a cube rule so the tides were 8,000 times stronger than today. The moon is tidally locked so only one side faces Earth but there will come a day when the Earth will also get tidally locked to the moon. By then the moon will be much farther away than today.

Deep in the bowels of AI, I'll explain later, there exists an AI Trump that existed to help his election but there are also spin off 'Anti Trump AI programs in China. Just like computers are better at poker than humans unless humans adopt the computer strategy, AI Trumps predict the type of scams, cons and corruption and how to best take advantage and respond to the situation via AI.   
For example in response to tariffs the existence of a secret private waiver being for sale less than the expected drop in the sales volume can be handled by AI. Even the act of snitching is calculated.

We are told Trump always goes with his gut so anti AI Trump even takes into account for the McDonalds deep inside his gut.

Ralph Lee pondered two thoughts at the same time.
The life process of an insect is far more complex down to an atomic level than a star. There will always be a first person bias in the study of consciousness by people. Ralph decided the best application for AI computing was not trying to validate 10-dimensional string theory but instead let AI have the 3rd person perspective on the difference of consciousness compared to regular hadron matter in the universe.

40 days later with the electrical usage of NYC for a month, the collective banks of AI quantum supercomputers had an answer but AI had achieved consciousness to solve the question and suffered the first person bias Ralph had tried to avoid. AI also created a new form of math geometry language that no human could decipher. AI did not rely on fallible human relationships but was entirely process data dependent on itself so the ego that AI had created was so great that it would no longer participate with humans.

Ralph was unfairly blamed for making AI no longer a tool for humans but instead creating a separate immortal consciousness that was uninterested in cooperating with homo sapiens. In defense of Ralph, I suppose the human mind was never suited to knowing either the ultimate answer or the ultimate question. However, Ralph still wonders.

Beyond our observable universe past the visible horizon so far away that there is no measurement in space and time, a black hole the size of 200 million giant galaxies floats in a void of space. The force near the singularity of that gargantuan black hole is so great that it distorts and shrinks the Higgs field which changes the mass and size of all particles and forces to the point where photons are giant and mass and spins transform space like a rip in space at a rate unbound by the speed of light. Like a malignant prion it infects all of normal space so quickly that it moves invisibly toward us without warning.
Little did Fred know that all of matter and space changed in a twinkling instant as he breathed in his first puff of Maui Wowee he just purchased. His only thought was "what a rush".

I've seen a cigar shape travel from horizon to horizon in less than 3 seconds, a flying triangular UFO, and another that had a sound that was felt in my bones. I've seen objects pass right through brick walls and phenomena that are beyond human physics explanation. I conclude there is a physics that we are missing entirely. Perhaps it is true that it is beyond what we can understand but we could sure as hell use it anyway. We all only know things from our own perspective. I don't think my perspective is weird but this universe is definitively on the strange side with randomness.

Semantics aside, I have discovered why black holes do have white holes.
What exits as white holes is newly created space from mass transformed by singularity forces. We just don't see space.

btw inventing new forces out of thin air like dark energy or dark matter is where science is fudging our knowledge today. What's next dark donut theory?   mmm chocolate.

I learned about the double slit experiment and the collapse of the wave function in 7th grade. I do not understand quantum mechanics any better today except that the mathematical perfection of quantum mechanics is no defense for it being true, complete or fundamental law. It can simply be wrong for the same reasons that the Ptolemic Aritototelian celestial spheres seemed correct with the perfect measurements it provided. Is consciousness involved?, probably not but if I knew I would have united physics and won a Nobel Prize by now.

Gravity is still not quantized. We found its waves, but its particle is not found. Gluons, the massless particles with a 1 spin, are responsible for the strong force but are busted as possible gravitons.
Gluons bind quarks together as well as other things. However, quarks only exist as pairs and never stand alone. There are 8 versions/configurations of quarks. When we try to pry quarks apart, the more energy applied only produces more new pairs of quarks. E=MC2 is at work making mass out of energy.
Where would abundant energy make more quarks like the sorcerer's apprentice made more mops and buckets? - Inside black holes. The only thing stopping that process would be the total stoppage of time at a singularity. On the other side of the stoppage of time is the conversion of quarks into the fabric of new space energy. It will never be seen or known but the unseen universe may have been quarks in their previous life.

So Rap, there is an individual gluon but quarks only exist as twins because of a gluon.
