What is toxic is the manipulation and addiction society. We used to be a tool and skill society. Now apps on your phone, that you do not know is there; will measure your dopamine reward levels and lets you play against AI features for your attention. Its not a fair fight.

Suicide levels have doubled for adolescents exposed to social trashing techniques by other users whose playground has addictive app features.
Speaking of users, there are drug users and tech users but for other things we are customers, clients or patients.

Smart and secure people can use the internet rabbit hole to investigate many issues. The negative rabbit holes are tunnels of disinformation like Pizzagate and the holy Trump. Tools of persuasion normally move slowly Like Nazi laws that gradually criminalized a certain branch of society. Facebook and other techs can move faster.

I addressed addiction by limiting hypnosis sessions to three. More than that would be considered unnecessary but possibly helpful. Apps have no limits on there growth. AI will never solve the problem of fake news. The existential threat is as real and abusive to democracy as slavery. Laws against addictive tech is a rational eventual outcome. I hope. But I am the odd man out who does not use or carry a digital phone.

The last thing J Allan Hynek showed me what he was working on was a compendium of different types of UFO shapes. There were over 30 types but the one type that has been recorded since his death that did not appear in his collection is the dynamic type that separated into many like images from three to many and form patterns or shapes.

Over the last 60 years there is a progressive change in the shape and navigation abilities. Some earlier types do not appear anymore.

With the sudden disappearance of my stalker, I found I was suffering from a version of the Stockholm effect. Perhaps he had found his true calling and became the author, editor, and publisher of 'Critic's Corner' where all critics of every genre were criticized.
It would have a companion book 'The Autocritocrisy of the World's Greatest Critic'.

While the book was full of glowing self-praise, 'Critics Corner' was a scathing digital profane diatribe of libelous insults. Perhaps the book propelled the online critics corner or simply the phenomenon of the most negative influencer caught on, but in no time there were more followers than on Truth Social.

This success was followed up with emails from MAGA internet threateners, Swatters, and apps from stalkers of young women influencers that have had threats via Venn diagram information of every person who was acquainted. Stalking and threatening turned out to be a huge industry.

Suddenly my exstalker was a small fish in a big sea. To be as important as he desired meant that he had to become a global villain and that did not have the appeal he had always wanted. Stopping hurt and torture had some withdrawal symptoms but soon he felt happier than before. He had time to enjoy life and lived happily ever after.

The leading cause of childhood death isn't disease anymore.
There has never been an incident abhorrent enough to change a thing.

Sanity regarding guns will never be threatened by rational minds in America. Somehow crazy trumps common sense here.

My scatter shot thoughts on the Kansas City shooting today are about the emotions of all those involved; from the politicians that allow/encourage mass shootings to the hateful shooter to all the victims wounded physically or not.

Some politicians don't care, some will feign a prayer.
The shooter had a moment of satisfaction probably stemming from bullying at some point.
The victims include 8 children with gunshot wounds. What they are feeling is beyond my comprehension.

This rips apart the spirit, destroys hope and kills safety in all celebrations.

So much depends on context. When headlines say "Florida man" did this or that (in the non-Trump meaning) it tends to say average or below average who you've never heard of.

If you want to do the math then in the spread, 25% would be below average, you could give the middle 26 to 50% as average, and the top IQ or some other functional measurement to the 76-100% of the group. Or you could do 33.3 for each group.

100% of the people who vote for the majority of the GOP slate of electors at least have a screw loose if they can't figure out that they're being taken to the cleaners by Trump's gang.

The 'average person' gets a bad rap.
At least I hope so. Most politicians are willing to say the average American is exceedingly stupid. Worse than that it is said stupid average people are in the majority.

IF true, those who can manipulate the average person must ensure that the average person stays stupid and never smarten up. There is plenty of evidence that the ignorance campaign is alive and well. Part of that campaign is to convince the rest of us that the average person is stupid. I believe that is a big fat lie.

Barricades to the smart average people are internet apps, cults, and weakest links to religion. Rewarding old hateful knowledge is also a strategy.

Its time to exclaim the wisdom of the average person.

I'm not saying anyone forgot Holocaust Remembrance Day but on Saturday I watched the 9 1/2 hour European 'Shoa' documentary.
I learned more than from all other documentaries combined.
It was in German, Polish, Yiddish, and French with English subtitles.

The space agency is having to develop new tools to crack open the canister containing bits from asteroid Bennu.

I watched my favorite holiday special David Zeiger documentary feature 'Sir! No Sir!'
It might be described as a therapeutic film, since it seeks to cure some small part of America's amnesia regarding our veterans.
