I stumbled across this film on YouTube. I'm sure there will be some interest. Unfortunately, it is only a short clip but interesting nonetheless. Recording songs over a campfire brings back memories for me! Please enjoy.

A search on YouTube with just the title of the clip (Collecting Folk Songs in Ireland, 1973) doesn't bring up the full video that I can find. There might be a library somewhere with the VHS tape of it, but that takes a different kind of search (and possibly interlibrary loan, if you have such a thing in the UK).

Doireann Ní Bhriain was doing lovely work on music and song around that time, especially th Handed down series of documentaries.

There's a film on Tom in the works, I was asked for some contributions recently. So that's something to look forward to.
