Subject: Tech: Ron Wall Harp maker in BC From: John MacKenzie Date: 12 Jan 24 - 01:08 PM A friend in Ireland has a 36 lever Ron Wall harp which he bought in Canada. It has suffered a little damage to the sharpening levers and needs to replace a few. Do any of the Canadain catters know Ron's whereabouts, or if he is retired or passed on, where my friend might obtain replacement levers for his instrument. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Ron Wall Harp maker in BC From: Helen Date: 13 Jan 24 - 11:40 PM Hi John, I can't help you with information on Ron Wall in BC, but sharpening levers for harps are available from harp suppliers or harp makers. The important thing is to identify which type of brand of lever is currently on the harp. I would suggest taking a close-up photo of a couple of the levers. Harp Levers - some available types [Note: I don't know this company. I just did an internet search for a site which shows images of different brands of levers.] I'm in Australia and there is an excellent harp maker Harps and Harps Australia who could send the levers but I am sure that there are Irish harp suppliers or makers who could help your friend. Another source of information could be the Sylvia Woods Harp Center in Hawaii. I have been a customer of that company for many decades and they are very reliable. |
