This makes me think of gratitude.
When I appreciate what I have, anything more seems like a win fall.
Focusing on things being 'good enough' can really lighten up the load and make the journey much more fun.

And Goethe's Italian Journey is the best of the best. If you have never read it, treat yourself. A young man discovering Italy at the end of 18th century. Some good editions also have the terrific erotic poetry -- the Roman Elegies and the Venetian Epigrams (some so filthy they only made it into print in the last 20 years). Thanks for the quote, kat: reminds me to go and get the books out again!!
