Subject: RE: Shy Singers From: r.padgett Date: 30 Mar 24 - 07:51 AM A few "singers who cannot sing but do" is the price we pay for encouraging others to find the joy of singing. ~~ Yes I agree, some spend their lifetime learning songs but cannot master the tunes Occasionally they can carry the dialogue and get away with it ~ practice does not always solve the situation, unfortunately Ray |
Subject: RE: Shy Singers From: Doug Chadwick Date: 30 Mar 24 - 06:16 AM What about singers who cannot sing but do! How can bad singers get better if they are not given the chance to improve. Everyone has to start somewhere. Vocal beauty is in the ear of the beholder. Even the best singers have their critics. If you are paying to hear them, you could always ask for your money back or, at least, avoid them next time. If they are singing for pleasure, then move away if it is annoying you. In an informal folk setting, it is normally only a couple of minutes of your life that you won't get back if you stick around. A few "singers who cannot sing but do" is the price we pay for encouraging others to find the joy of singing. DC |
