I've noticed the tune that's used for Princess Pat and Sippin' Cider Through a Straw is nearly identical, and they also have the exact same repeat-after-me structure. Doing some research, I found a couple other camp tunes that also use that same tune ("The Other Day I Met a Bear", and "One Fish Ball"). Yet I can't find any origins for the tune, or which song came first. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Shades of Nina & Frederik, who had a minor hit with their recording of Sipping Cider,many years ago.
