Do you know of any songs about either the Arandora Star or the Dunera ships which carried p.o.w.s and internees ("enemy aliens" of Italian or German nationality) from the U.K.? The Arandora Star carried P.O.W.s, Italian internees, and internees of German nationality (including Austrians) who had been classed "A" (security risk, even though some were Jewish) at tribunals. It was torpedoed off the coast of County Donegal, Ireland resulting in massive loss of life. The Dunera carried survivors of the Arandora Star disaster and also internees who bad been classed "C" by the tribunals and initially had been exempt from internment. The Dunera became infamous for the mistreatment of the its captive passengers by the crew.

I'd also be interested in songs about or from the internment camps in the U.K., Australia and Canada. Canada also intered Japanese people during World War 2, as did the U.S. So songs about the Japanese internment experience in N. America are also of interest to me. There are a lot of books written about WW2 internment of "Enemy Aliens" and some also specifically about the Arandora Star abd the Dunera, but so far I haven't come across songs relating any aspect of this story.
