Here is the University Press of Mississippi website for the book. Sometimes UPM offers a discount. If not at this time, I hope you will consider purchasing the paperback from the original publisher. Why? Best quality book. Amazon prints the books they sell.

Yes, Amazon does some print-on-demand, but I believe that is in association with particular publishers who don't produce hard-copies. These are mainly small, vanity-type concerns.

As far as mainstream publishers go, books I have bought from Amazon over many many years have been the same article as found in bricks-and-mortar retailers.

My publisher told me the business is changing. Amazon and the distributor Ingram now print the orders they fulfill.

Barnes & Noble for over a decade have printed long expired books with original illustrations in hardbound cover.

If they have the software to organize the pages and a good PDF scan of the book, Print-on-Demand is the way to go for some of these books.
