Subject: Lyr Req: “Tres Pajaritos”-3 little birds Spanish From: GUEST,Russell Date: 27 Jan 25 - 08:24 PM I’m learning Spanish (travelling to Guatemala for Spanish immersion in March) and I stumbled across a wonderful Spanish translation of Bob Marley’s “Three LIttle Birds” by Elizabeth Mitchell and Suni Paz on their album “Tú Eres mi Fior: Songs for Children en Español” It’s simple enough that I could probably memorize it and sing it for my host family (and other children I meet) but my Spanish isn’t good enough to get all the words (well, honestly, to get more than a few). Is there anyone here who could help me? |

Subject: ADD: “Tres Pajaritos”-3 little birds Spanish From: Joe Offer Date: 27 Jan 25 - 09:27 PM Well, here's the recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEl67qBwfPs I copy-pasted from the album notes, and I had trouble at first because the lyrics were upside-down. I think I have it all here now. Three Little Birds Elizabeth Mitchell, voice; Suni Paz, vocal; Daniel Littleton, piano, guitar and vocal; Byron Isaacs, bass; Clem Waldmann, drums; Mark Greenberg, celeste; Storey Littleton, vocal This song is so universally loved it needs little in the way of introduction. Bob Marley, a Jamaican national treasure, innovator, and popularizer of reggae, gave us this song about three little birds and the comforting message they sang to him one morning. Since he composed songs about the struggle for political and spiritual liberation, with lyrics that stood strongly and explicitly against the oppression of racism, poverty, hunger, and the abuse of power, this nursery-rhyme-like, encouraging song is particularly meaningful to all his fans around the world.
Three little birds by my doorstep Singing a sweet song, A melody pure and true, Singing: “This is my message to you.” “Don’t worry, about a thing Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.” (2x) Tres pajaritos Elizabeth Mitchell, voz; Suni Paz, voz; Daniel Littleton, piano, guitarra y voz; Byron Isaacs, bajo; Clem Waldmann, percusión; Mark Greenberg, celesta;
Tres pajaritos vi a mi puerta, Cantando alegres una melodía que dice: “Este es mi mensaje para ti.” “No te preocupes, por nada Porque tus problemas, seguro que se van.” (2x) https://folkways-media.si.edu/docs/folkways/artwork/SFW45075.pdf |
