Subject: Haruo 12-String Guitar From: Naemanson Date: 06 Feb 25 - 02:32 AM A long, long time ago, probably more than 30 years ago, I bought a Haruo 12-String Guitar. I loved that thing. However, I can no longer manipulate anything more complicated than a can opener. Thanks to arthritis and some nerve damage I have no chance of ever playing it again. Which leaves me in something of a dilemma. From what I've seen here on Guam there is little respect for a fine instrument like this. Plus we used to have a thread here on Mudcat about Haruo guitars and the consensus was that once a person got his or her hands on a Haruo they would not let it go. I could take it to the one music store here on Guam and sell it on commission or I can offer it here to someone who will appreciate it for what it is. There are two problems. 1. I have no idea what kind of price to put on it. 2. How on earth do I mail it to whichever part of the world it might have to go to. It does have a hard shell case but do I trust that to protect my (your?) Haruo? Looking forward to some advice. Maybe someone can resurrect that old thread or star a new set of posts here. Thanks |

Seeing that it is almost off the board I will refresh and hopefully some one will come along with lots of information for you. I myself have none to offer, but I wish you the best of luck. |
Subject: RE: Haruo 12-String Guitar From: John MacKenzie Date: 12 Feb 25 - 02:32 PM I woukd try to get someone to take it back the US for a friend there to deal with, I'm sure somebody here would help, or even want to buy it from you. All you need is a sympathetic and helpful Us bound helpmate. |
