There's a lot of discussion on the San Francisco club list about who wrote this song. We can trace it back as far as 1980. A lot of people learned it from Ed Silberman.
Anyone know anything more?
Blessings,
Barbara

Parody of "Twelve Days of Christmas?"

ANY snip of verse?

Which SF Club discussion group? URL?

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

You are certainly not the usual "Barbara" our Mudcat knows!

A lot of variants, Garg,
This is the version I know pretty much, and I learned it a LONG time ago and don't remember where. Another variant is ...home from college.

On the 7th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:
"What's that in your suitcase? ..."

On the 8th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:
"Are you still on food stamps? ..."

On the 9th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:
"Sally's getting married ..."

On the 10th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:
"Esther has two kids now

On the 11th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:

On the 12th day home for Christmas, my mother said to me:
"We will always love you ..."
