Subject: AI Satire From: SPB-Cooperator Date: 08 Mar 25 - 08:38 AM I just laid down a challenge for CHTGPT to write a song about how a protestor who climbed the Elizabeth tower (big ben clock tower) brandishing a flag closed off Westminster bridge. I think the result is a bit good..... The Flag That Shook the Nation ?? (Verse 1) A man climbed up a tower today, a flag held in his hand, He waved it high against the sky, a sight so bold and grand. The coppers came with shields and guns, they blocked the streets below, For who knows what a waving rag could do if left to blow? (Chorus) ?? Oh, the flag that shook the nation! ?? The terror in the breeze! ?? One man and some old fabric ?? Brought Westminster to its knees! (Verse 2) They closed the bridge, they locked the doors, they called for calm and care, Reporters spoke in worried tones of panic in the air. But when they asked him what he’d planned, his words cut through the din: “I only meant to make you look and think a bit again.” (Chorus – Repeat) (Verse 3) The headlines called him reckless, said he’d put us all at risk, While down the road, the lobbyists were writing laws for fists. The bankers smiled, the deals went through, the papers looked away, But a flag up on a tower? Now, that’s newsworthy today! (Chorus – Repeat) (Verse 4) So here’s to all the flag-wavers who dare to make a stand, Who don’t have gold or power, just a piece of cloth in hand. For history will tell us, when the mighty lose control, It isn’t guns or money—just an idea takes its toll. (Final Chorus – Big Finish!) ?? Oh, the flag that shook the nation! ?? The terror in the breeze! ?? One man and some old fabric ?? Brought Westminster to its knees! |
