Subject: The Kitchen Girls From: Irene M Date: 15 Apr 25 - 01:03 PM Sid Valley Radio Folk Show had a track last night from The Kitchen Girls. It was an old time American tune, and we assume they were American. However they don’t come up on a Google search. Anyone know who they were? |
Subject: RE: The Kitchen Girls From: GUEST,Tom Patterson Date: 15 Apr 25 - 02:16 PM I am fairly certain there was a group of that name playing in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham UK which I believe included Pam Bishop, a fine traditional musician who still plays in the local area. From memory it was around the late 80s when I first heard them. Could it be them? |
Subject: RE: The Kitchen Girls From: GUEST,Tom Patterson Date: 15 Apr 25 - 02:39 PM Further to my last post, information about Pam Bishop which mentions the Kitchen Girls can be found if you look up "Pam Bishop Folk Musician". She has made a significant contribution to folk music in the Midlands and further afield! |
