I looked and can't remember what Michael Harrison's handle was here at Mudcat, but he used to be a regular participant, and was a friend of the late great Jed Marum. His I saw him perform locally several times, and another North Texas friend shared a link to his Facebook page announcing his death after a brief stay in hospice. Some of you may remember that a number of years ago Michael successfully survived cancer.

Michael was active around Texas at various Celtic/Scottish/Highland Games oriented events.

I looked around too. Circa 2005 he was Texas Guest, then circa 08 he started using Michael Harrison. But he posted some good stuff before that under another handle, and darned if I can find it either.

He came to Mississippi's Celtic Fest several times, a very good balladeer.   Did a fine job on Edmund Fitzgerald.
