Subject: Obit: Monologue John Bartley 27 May 2025 From: Joe Offer Date: 30 May 25 - 09:18 PM Oh, this is a hard one. Monologue John Bartley was with us at the Mudcat Singaround on Monday, 26 May. He was with us almost every Monday for five years. Rick Pollay tells me John was found dead at home by his caregiver on Tuesday morning. John was born December 2, 1944, so he was 80 years old. I liked him so much. May he rest in peace. -Joe- https://www.youtube.com/@monologuejohn |

And he was on such good form at last Monday's Mudcat Singaround, it's hard to believe he's no longer with us. We will miss him, that's for sure. RIP John, old friend. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Monologue John Bartley (1944-2025) From: Waddon Pete Date: 01 Jun 25 - 10:17 AM John was a lovely man who contributed to many zoom sessions over the years. I met up with him in some unexpected places. He and I shared many a conversation about genealogy and he was always happy to share his knowledge. John had collected many different monologues, verses and poetry, some well known, some not so well known which soon became favourites. He did a great service in bringing these to a wider audience. Oh John, I shall miss you. Rest in peace after a life well lived. Pete |
